Once again Craven fielded an under strength team and found themselves
a goal down within 4 minutes of kick off. The home side then began
to find their feet and started to match the Cockerham side for their
enthusiasm. It was mid way through the first half when Robbie
used his strength and muscle to power his way through and
equalise for the home side. The game was then poised and could
have gone either way but the tall lads of Cockerham began to take
their height advantage and it was with a set piece they scored
their second. The game was always going to be tight but mid way
through the second half a lapse in the home side defence let in
the centre forward to get Cockerham’s third. An unlucky own
goal gave Cockerham their fourth only to be followed shortly after
with a fifth. Once again a very spirited performance from the
under strength Craven side.
