Halton Hotshots 3
Craven Wanderers 6

Oliver Jones (1)
Ben O'Hagan (3)
Matthew Cardus (2)

After being 6-0 down within 30 mins in our home match against Halton, it was
Important that we started well. For the first 20 mins Craven dominated and
Soon led 1-0. Halton worked their way back into the game and drew level and
Just before half time took a quick throw in whilst Craven were asleep and went
Into the interval 2-1 up. 2-1 was alot better than 6-1 as it was 3 weeks ago!
Unfortunately, Halton made it 3-1 very soon after half time through slack
Marking at a corner and suddenly we had a lot of work to do. The lads were up
To it and with a change from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 we began to create alot of openings
And were soon rewarded clawing back to 3-3. Halton were clearly shaken and
Craven looked stronger and stronger, defending effectively, controlling the
Midfield through Ollie Jones and Peter Atkinson and continually looking
Dangerous with Ben O’Hagan and Ollie up front. The reward soon came after
Some great attacking play, Ollie headed Craven into the lead and Ben O’H
Increased the lead to 5-3 soon after with a well finished goal. Will Lewis came
On to strengthen the midfield and Craven reverted to 4-5-1 in an attempt to
Hold onto our lead. It worked well and Halton’s efforts to get back into the game
Were continually thwarted with Craven counter attacking with speed. Ben O’H
Finished with a well struck goal towards the end of the game to secure a 6-3 win
